What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Here's what I'm Loving this week!

I'm LOVING that my brother is getting married on Friday. He and his fiancee have been dating for almost three years and on Sept. 2nd they will finally tie the knot! I'm also secretly loving that all of the planning will be over...shhh, don't tell anyone!

I'm LOVING that Jordan will be starting school next week! He went to a preschool last year on Fridays but this year he will be going Monday through Thursday. Ahhh, I can hear the peace and quiet already!

He will be going to school with his friend Lorelei

I'm LOVING that Ashish and I were asked to be godparents! Our good friends Keisha and Chris asked us to be the godparents of their sweet baby Kennedy. Of course we gladly accepted!

I'm LOVING that my dad got his cast off of his ankle. He has been undergoing some extensive ankle physical therapy in which he has to wear a cast for 6 weeks. He was a trooper! The cast came off Tuesday morning and he started the 2nd phase of PT Tuesday afternoon!

I'm LOVINGthat my sweet husband is off work for the next 5 days (because of the wedding, the weekend, and the holiday)! We will celebrate a wedding (my brother's), great moments with family, and an anniversary(ours)! Speaking of the holiday, I am LOVING that Labor Day is here and it's the end of summer. Fall is my all time favorite season!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Here's what I'm Loving this week

I'm Loving...these ladies. We try to get together at least one night a month for dinner. I met all but one of them through Jordan's play group. These ladies are my biggest supporters when it coming to parenting and I am very blessed to have them in my life.

(l-r) Nicole, Jennifer, Melissa, Sarah, me, and Gianna. Missing:Rachel

I'm Loving...birthdays! We were invited to a friends 30th birthday party hosted by his wife and his mother. Turns out that his parents have a petting zoo on their land. Jordan was in love with the mini donkeys!

I'm Loving...this weather! It has been ridiculously hot outside. I feel so bad for Jordan because he loves to be outside but because of the hot, we have been stuck in the house, the mall, and McDonalds' (or Chick-fil-a) playground. The past two days, the weather has been beautiful. It isn't unbearably hot, the days are warm and the nights are cool.

As always, I'm LOVING these two!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's time for another edition of What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Here is what I'm Loving! Disclaimer: there aren't any cool pics to go along with what I'm loving this week, I'm not at my computer.

I'm Loving the fact that small group is meeting on Thursday nights again. There was a whole debacle about changing the night and I was really bummed about it.

I'm Loving that I just got to spend the last 10 days with one of my favorite people in the whole world, my cousin. She and her daughter paid us a surprise visit.

I'm Loving my sweet husband. He brought me flowers to celebrate the anniversary of our engagement. Who knew he'd remember?

And, I hate to say it but, I'm Loving that school in Georgia is back in session. I can safely go to the mall without maneuvering through all the teenagers and children that are too big to be playing in the toddler play area. Sorry teacher friends...mama needs her sanity.

Fill In The Blank Friday

I'm linking up with The Little Things We DO for a fun Friday!

1. My go to outfit for a dress-up occasion, like a wedding, is a little black dress, it can be dressed up with jewelry or dressed down with flip flops.

2. This week has been crazy! My cousin and her 6 yr old daughter have been in town since Sunday. There hasn't been a quiet moment since then.

3. When it's dinnertime and I'm feeling lazy, I usually eat Bertolli Skillet Meals. They are so easy.

4. My favorite pair of shoes are my flip flops from JCPenny or my new Nike CrossTrainers

5. A random item that I own, that is completely unnecessary, but I could never part with it is my laptop. Prior to getting this one, we already owned one and a netbook.

6. My favorite person is other than my husband, my dad.

7. If I were to write my own blank, what would it say. What is something that annoys you but it's so silly that you wouldn't tell anyone else?

Happy Friday Everyone

Bummed

I wanted to throw a big ol' temper tantrum yesterday. You know, the kind that a 2 year old has. I wanted to yell "that's not fair."

Let me give you a little bit of background...

In May of 2010 Ashish and I took a leap of faith and joined a new church. At the time, the church was a little bit out of our comfort zone but we quickly grew to love it. In September, we joined a couple's small group. I wouldn't consider myself to be shy but on the first night, I was shy. We were the "newbies" in the group, everyone else knew each other. When we walk in that first night, I was nervous; that was until I saw someone I knew, Ashley. Ashley and I had been friends since middle school. After high school we went in different directions for college and only stayed in touch via Facebook. It was if we never skipped a beat, we laughed and chatted, she introduced me to everyone-my nervousness quickly went away.

Ashish, Jordan, and I had a new extended family. From September to May (there was a break for the holidays) we had 3 baby showers and welcomed 4 beautiful babies. We teamed together to help members of the group move. We collected food for a food drive that the church was hosting. Again, this was like our extended family. I love our small group.

Now to bring this all full circle. Small group used to meet on Wednesday nights, then it got changed to Thursday nights. Thursday worked best for us because of Ashish's work schedule. By it being on Wednesdays, Ashish would only be able to attend one night a month-kinda defeats the purpose of a couple's small group.

Small group will be starting again in September and the leaders are thinking of moving it back to Wednesday nights. When I read the e-mail, I eyes got teary. I know that they can't accomodate everyone's schedules. I know that Thursday nights don't work for several of the other husbands/wives in the group. I know that they have to do what's best for the group. I know all of these things but it doesn't stopped me from being bummed about it. I wanted to stomp up and down, roll around, kick my legs like a crazy person. I know that won't help but it sounded good at the time. LOL.

I'm asking you to please pray for Ashish and I. Pray that if small group does meet on Wednesday nights that we find another, equally as great, small group to join. Pray that we make new extended family members and keep in touch with the old ones.

Thanks!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday y'all!

It's one month before my wedding anniversary! Here is what I'm Loving...Wedding Edition

I'm LOVING...surprise visits! My cousin, Kai, who is also my best friend, called me Saturday morning and said that she would be coming to visit for a week and a half starting Sunday (less than 24 hours later). We are like sisters, our mom's are sisters (and best friends). These are the kinda surprises that I like!

I'm LOVING...my daddy. We celebrated his 58th birthday on Saturday and Sunday. My dad and I are closer than close. My mom always teases us and says "you two should have married each other." Kinda weird, yes. But, I think that if you have that kind of relationship with your dad, you totally understand.

I'm LOVING...shower planning! My brother is getting married on September 2, his fiancee asked me to be her matron of honor. I, along with my mom, and her other bridesmaids, are hosting her shower this weekend. Planning this shower made me want to get married again...to the same person of course. LOL!

Stay tuned for pictures!

As always, I'm LOVING this guy...
